Summer Spaces

I'm off for a couple of days to a friend's cottage so I wanted to leave you with some beautiful summery spaces to enjoy while I'm away.  It's amazing how using the right white paint and lightweight fabrics like linen, raw silk, and cotton can freshen up a room and give it a calming and relaxing feeling.  These rooms are not spare or minimal, but adorned with just the right amount of decorative elements to enhance the casual mood and capture the essence of summer.

Summer Inspiration

Sometimes when I need a break from my laptop I will wander into my backyard to get a breath of fresh air and check out what's going on out there.  This week I was rewarded with beautiful blooms of my favourite flowers.

Russian Sage - gets more beautiful as it fills in throughout the summer.

So, don't forget to stop and smell the flowers...and bring them inside sometimes too!
